This NVQ covers the kind of work done in commercial, planning and contracting operations roles in construction. It is aimed at people involved in planning, coordinating, controlling and supporting projects, rather than just physically running day-to-day site activities.
Because the qualification includes mandatory units and a choice of optional units, it can be shaped around your actual role. Depending on the units you choose, it can cover work such as procurement, tendering, estimating, programme planning, quantity surveying, design coordination, contract administration, valuations, cost control and project information management.
Everything you submit comes from your normal day-to-day work. There are no written assignments, no exams and no theory tests.
Most experienced candidates already have much of the evidence they need in their emails, meeting records, procurement documents, cost records, programmes, drawings and other project paperwork. Your assessor will help you identify the best evidence from the work you already do.
