The Red CSCS TSM Card is designed for experienced Supervisors and Managers who are currently out of work and cannot secure a job without a CSCS card.
Many people find themselves in the situation where employers will not allow access to site without a Gold or Black CSCS card, but the only way to obtain one of these cards is to complete an NVQ. Since NVQs are evidence based, you cannot actually complete one unless you are on site and able to demonstrate your normal role.
This red temporary card breaks that cycle. It gives you immediate access back into work. Once you are back in work, you will have access to the required evidence and will be able to complete the NVQ and apply for your full CSCS card.
The Red TSM Card shows employers that you are officially registered on a Supervisor or Manager level NVQ and are working towards achieving your full CSCS card.
The Red TSM Card is issued for three years and cannot be renewed. During this time, you can complete your qualification and progress to a Gold Supervisor or Black Manager card.
A lot of people come to us because they cannot get back into work without a CSCS card, and they cannot get a CSCS card without completing an NVQ. Since NVQs are evidence based, you need to be on site to complete one. The Red TSM Card lets you get back into your role so you can gather the evidence you need and apply for your full card.
You need to be enrolled on a recognised Supervisor or Manager level NVQ. This could be a Level 3 or Level 4 supervisory NVQ or a Level 6 or Level 7 management NVQ.

One of our assessors will call you back to confirm that the NVQ is achievable for your role. Once approved, we can enrol you and provide the confirmation letter CSCS require the very same day.
Yes. You will need to pass the CITB test that matches your role. Supervisors should complete the Specialist Test, and Managers who are completing a Level 6 or Level 7 NVQ need the Managers and Professionals (MAP) Test. Your test result must be less than two years old when you apply for the Red TSM Card.
The card is valid for three years and cannot be renewed.
CADUK provide 12 months in which to complete your NVQ. This gives you more than enough time to finish your qualification and progress to your full Gold Supervisor or Black Manager CSCS card.
Once you apply for an NVQ with CADUK, we can complete your profiling, approve you, and register you on the qualification the same day.
As soon as you are registered, the only thing you need is a valid CITB Health, Safety and Environment test. If you already have a pass that is less than two years old, you can apply for the Red TSM Card straight away. If not, you just need to book and complete the appropriate level test, then you can apply as soon as you have your result.
