Once you have completed your NVQ with CADUK, the next step is applying for the correct CSCS card.
The card you apply for depends on the level and type of NVQ you have completed, along with the correct CITB Health, Safety and Environment test.
Level 3 and Level 4 supervisory NVQs normally support the Gold CSCS Supervisor Card, while Level 6 and Level 7 management NVQs normally support the Black CSCS Manager Card.
This guide explains the process in simple steps, including certificates, tests, documents and how to apply directly to CSCS.

Once you have completed your NVQ with CADUK, you will need to apply for your CSCS card.

Within one to two weeks of completing your NVQ, CADUK will email you a PDF copy of your Certificate of Achievement.
You can use this electronic certificate to apply for your CSCS card.
The card you apply for depends on the level of NVQ you have completed.
• Level 3 or Level 4 Supervisory NVQs allow you to apply for the Gold Supervisor Card
• Level 6 or Level 7 Management NVQs allow you to apply for the Black Manager Card
CSCS will only issue the card once you have the certificate and the correct CITB Health Safety and Environment Test.
Your CITB test must be less than two years old on the day you apply.
• Supervisors need the ‘Specialist’ Supervisor Test
• Managers need the Managers and Professionals ‘MAP’ Test
You can book the test through the CITB website or by calling the CITB booking line on 0344 994 4488.
Before applying, make sure you have:
• Your NVQ Certificate of Achievement (PDF is fine)
• Your CITB Health Safety and Environment Test result
• A recent digital photograph
• A debit or credit card for payment

Pay the application fee
Your card is normally issued within a few working days
Call CSCS on 0344 994 4777.
You will still need to email your documents for approval.
If everything is uploaded correctly, CSCS usually post the card within a few working days.
During busy periods it may take slightly longer.
